From the team at Passione Playing Cards, comes a fun set of playing cards inspired by the popular traditional Italian dish, Pizza. Founder Riccardo Conturbia told Kardify,
The goal of the upcoming Kickstarter project is to celebrate pizza as a joy for everyone! With that in mind, we didn’t focused on the “original” recipies and attires, but tried to have some fun by illustrating different countries and cultures.
The deck features fully custom hand-illustrated artwork. The courts represent different nationalities, from Italians, Americans, Asians, and Middle East. According to Riccardo,
We also added a few popular memes, this project is meant to be a fun one. Pizza is a global food so, we decided to include also the infamous “pineapple pizza” because.. we don’t want to be the picky Italians that like only what comes from Italy.
As for the aces, they represent different pizzas and the card backs are a homage to the well-known Bicycle rider back. There will be two decks available during the project and the two tuck boxes are connectable to make a ‘pizzeria’ scene.
Pizza Playing Cards will be printed by the United States Playing Card Co and is scheduled to launch today (10th April) on Kickstarter.
