Social Media Roundup: Deck Images and Cardistry!

Social network such as Twitter and Instagram provides a platform for breaking news and instant reactions. Cardists, Magicians and Card aficionados are often rarely passed up an opportunity to show off their card skills. Social networks are fast-moving and there are a good amount of posts that don't get the recognition they deserve.

To change that, we've rounded up some of the best Tweets and Instagram posts from the past week with the hashtag #kardify.

The Special Edition Honeybee No 17 MetalLuxe Gold Foil Playing Cards and Dealer Coin, designed by Randy Butterfield of Midnight Cards (@midnightcards), produced by Penguin Magic (@penguincards and @instapenguinmagic) and printed by the United States Playing Card Company (@officialbicyclecards) in a Carat X1 Single Deck Display with a limited production Carat XCL1 Single Deck Coin Lid. . The Honeybee No 15 Deck, released in 2015, was Penguin Magic’s first-ever custom deck. Designed by Randy Butterfield, the original Yellow deck sold out in a mere two days and the Black deck, released a few months later, also sold out quickly.  The Honeybee No 17 (Yellow and Black v2s) were successfully funded through a KS project in March 2017 and were quickly followed by the successful Gold MetalLuxe Honeybees KS project in May 2017. . The tuck is made of high-grade black paper and has two different foils, gold and silver, creating a truly classy and elegant tuck box.  The card backs have been redesigned with mirrored honeybees facing outwards towards the top and bottom edges on a honeycomb background, all in glistening gold foil.  The custom AoS (a bee hive) and different colored, but matching Jokers (a bee keeper) are the same as the previous Honeybee decks.  The courts are standard, but re-colored with a golden yellow and black, tying in nicely with deck’s theme. . To learn more of the Honeybee line, visit Penguin Magic at their website, www(dot)penguinmagic(dot)com, or check out their latest KS project, for Honeybee No 18 Elite Edition in Red and Blue, which still has 9 days to go.  These decks are meant to be worker decks and are priced as such, so go check out the project and pick up a brick or two! . To learn more about Randy Butterfield and the vast array of decks (60 and still going strong!) that he has designed, visit his website at www(dot)midnight-cards(dot)myshopify(dot)com or follow him on Facebook and IG (@midnightcards). .
