News: Bicycle Playing Cards Unveiled The Bicycle Ombre Edged In Las Vegas

The team at Bicycle Playing Cards unveiled the new Bicycle Ombre Edged Playing Cards, made exclusively for Magic Live! 2017 during the event in Las Vegas on Monday. Image above from Unofficial Bicycle Cards.

The beautiful deck features a mesmerizing red-blue gradient back and edge. Image below from Unofficial Bicycle Cards.


The deck is housed in a custom die cut on the side of the tuck showcasing the red-blue gradient edge of the deck inside. The tuck is sealed with a custom numbered seal. Only 2,500 decks have been printed.


The Bicycle Ombre Edged is priced at $25. After Magic Live!, a small quantity will be available from murphysmagic.com

Currently seeking funds on Kickstarter, the Flight Deck 1933 Playing Cards are a custom designed deck made to serve as an homage to aviation from the earliest days to the 1930s—a time defined by travel, art deco style and the spirit of adventure. Designed by Paul Roman Martinez, the 1933 edition is a follow-up to the popular Flight Deck series, funded back in 2014.


The 1933 edition includes updated artwork, redesigned back with subtle blues and tan tones, new Jokers and a tuck box with a touch of silver foil on the exterior. On the new edition, Paul said,
This new deck features an updated back and combines elements of both the Airship and Airplane deck from the previous projects. The first flight deck was very popular and I completely sold out of single decks! This new project is a chance to get these decks back in print and back into your hands and be as inspired as I am by humanity’s ability to defy the laws of nature and fly through the skies.

Pledge starts from $14 and the new edition of the Flight Deck will be printed by Legends Playing Card Company. Many items from the original Flight Deck are also available, including the Flight Logbook with two of the original unbranded decks inside.

Magic: Magic Live!, Las Vegas Day 1

This weekend, magicians from all around the globe have descended upon Las Vegas for MAGIC Live!, a popular convention organized by MAGIC Magazine. The four-day event is devoted to the Art of magic, featuring speakers, workshops, stage shows, photo-ops, book signings, demonstrations, and amazing giveaways by top magic manufacturers and retailers.

The idea of MAGIC Live is to bring the pages of MAGIC Magazine to life. The concept being that if magicians enjoyed the magazine, they might enjoy coming to Las Vegas and “living” that magazine for four days. It’s been fifteen years since that first gathering, and the ninth version of our “never-to-be-repeated” convention.

With artwork inspired by ancient Egypt, Luxor is a semi custom deck of cards designed and illustrated by Estonian playing card designer Toomas Pintson. This is the fourth release this year under Gemini Playing Card Co. following the playful Big Boy no. 1, Gemini Casino (Red Edition) and Mako.


Luxor features an elegant back design with its main design element being the mysterious Luxor cat that can also be found on both of the jokers.


Every Luxor deck comes with a special gaff card - an extra joker with a clear 2 of spades reveal.


Slightly modified court and number cards feature beautiful green and orange colorway that perfectly compliments the white back design.
