The Spirit of Cubism reimagines playing cards through the geometric poetry of Cubism. Each card becomes a miniature painting, turning every hand into an artistic experience. Designed by SixtyFourPlayingCards as a visual narrative, the deck invites dialogue between its cards, blending the boundaries of art and gaming in a timeless expression of creativity and form.
Inside, the Kings, Queens, Jacks, and Jokers are transformed into modern portraits fragmented by vibrant geometry, while the Aces evolve beyond symbols into abstract compositions. Hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds dissolve into playful arrangements of light and color, creating number cards that feel like individual canvases.
Two editions are available during the Kickstarter campaign- the Red Edition and the Black Edition. Each deck embody a distinct interpretation of the Cubist spirit. The Red Edition radiates warmth and vitality, its design bursting with energy and golden highlights, like brushstrokes on a sunlit canvas.
The Black Edition is its elegant, introspective counterpart, where geometry dances within the shadows, revealing sophistication and mystery in every line.
Both decks are housed in a beautifully finished box, complete with gold foil, embossing, and individually numbered tuck seals. Printed by NPCC Noir Arts on premium German linen card stock and available now on Kickstarter for $17.
