Kickstarter: Jetsetter Playing Cards: Premier Edition Releases in "Restricted Red"

Jetsetter Playing Cards: Premier Edition is back this year with a brand new colorway – Restricted Red – inspired from the most secret airline in the United States.

This so-called airline transports employees of Area 51 from Las Vegas directly to the highly-guarded top secret facility. Their airplanes are unmarked aside from the bold red stripe down the fuselage. According to Paul Ruccio, founder of Jetsetter Playing Cards,

This red stripe influenced the decision to make our next Premier Edition deck in the Restricted Red colorway.

The back design showcases the Restricted Red colorway and features the same airplane pattern as the Premier Edition in Altitude Blue along with the Jetsetter logo in the traditional two-way casino style design.

Like its predecessor, the tuck will have a vintage and classy feel with modern appeal and features a clear UV spot coating creatively applied to the airplane icons on the front of the tuck. Furthermore, it will be produced with the durable synthetic stock - perfect for traveling!

Available NOW on Kickstarter, pledge starts at an affordable $10 and upon successful funding, the decks will be printed by the Expert Playing Card Co. on their classic finish stock.

Card Radar: Omar Renfro's Red Stripe Playing Cards Are Here!

Created by magician and cardist Omar Renfro and produced by Hanson Chien Production Company, the Red Stripe Playing Cards are inspired by stained glass, cardistry, modern art, cubism, and architecture. The design comes from the concept of wanting a bold solid stripe in the middle to accent the dynamic color palette of the card back.

The deck is fully customized from the geometric back design to the custom arrangement of the spot cards, right down to the custom court cards and jokers. Even the tuck interior is customized.

The unique court cards are Omar's abstract interpretations of each "classic" bicycle court card. The body of the court cards feature an original abstract line composition while the faces of each card were executed using a continuous line and cubism style to complete the design.

The tuck box exterior prominently features a single red stripe and Omar's signature for a modern simplistic look, while the tuck interior features an eye-catching geometric design and color.

Also available is the Hand Drawn Edition of the Red Stripe Playing Cards which features hand-illustrated artwork on each card of the deck. Omar did an amazing job making the colors look like the markers while maintaining the vibrancy of the colors on the standard deck. Definitely a conversation starter in your collection!

First Look: VIZAĜO Playing Cards by Annette Abolins

Designed by Australian artist Annette Abolins, VIZAĜO is a fully custom illustrated deck of playing cards exploring faces in a truly colorful way.

More than a year in the making, the VIZAĜO artwork is influenced by traditional lino/wood-cut and contour line drawing techniques. Each suit has its distinct palette, allowing the bold artwork to flow across the cards depicting vibrantly segmented faces.

This fun deck features custom pips and courts in bold lines and vibrant color, each with its own distinct palette. The Aces are dressed in colors matching its suit's court, consistent with the theme of face cards.

There will be two colors available in the campaign, the Lumina (red) and the stretched goal, Lumino (blue) version. With the exception of the card backs and tuck boxes, both versions have identical card faces.

Launching soon on Kickstarter, VIZAĜO will be printed by Legends Playing Card Company on their popular Classic finish stock. Early bird pledge starts from AUD$15 (~USD$11).

Deck View: NPH Playing Cards

The wizards at Theory11 in collaboration with Neil Patrick Harris (NPH), released a LEGENDARY deck of premium playing cards late last year. The deck is a tribute to Neil's love of mystery, magic, games, and theater. The elegant and sophisticated deck was designed by Jay Fletcher with art direction by Neil himself.

The NPH deck feature a custom Ace of Spades, Joker, modified court card typography and a visually stunning tuck box. Even the tuck interior is printed with a custom, elegant gold foil pattern. Also, there are hidden secret symbolism hidden within the deck. If you look close enough, you may discover much more and solve the puzzle.
