Jetsetter Playing Cards has just launched the third Lounge Edition deck in an all-new purple colorway on Kickstarter. The brand continues to exhibit a vintage and classy feel but with modern appeal and has hit its stretched goal of $10k unlocking the striking yellow colorway deck.

For the Kickstarter campaign, the classy back design showcases a unique Passenger Purple colorway… the color similar to what you may find as the livery on select modern airlines. The airplane pattern appears with the Jetsetter Playing Cards spade logo within the pattern. The spade logo on the back design can be found in an offset two-way vintage casino-style design.

The custom Ace of Spades exhibits the Jetsetter Playing Cards spade logo in the Jet Black colorway. The courts are pretty much standard but re-colored to match the look and feel of the Lounge Edition deck in the purple colorway. 

All the black cards, spades, and clubs, showcase purple, black, and silver court cards. The red cards, hearts, and diamonds seem standard. These are re-colored as well. The court cards actually showcase a vintage style of red, black, and gold.

Additionally, the iconic round-trip boarding passes which have become the trademark Jokers for Jetsetter Playing Cards have been revamped and modernized.

The tuck box is produced with a synthetic stock providing durability beyond the standard tuck box. The tuck features a clear UV spot coating and the main Jetsetter Playing Cards spade logos on the tuck are accented with silver foil.

Funded on Kickstarter last year, the Jetsetter Playing Cards: Premier Edition is currently in the fulfillment stage. The deck is inspired by the most secret airline in the United States that transports employees of Area 51 from Las Vegas directly to the highly-guarded top secret facility.

Two decks were funded during the campaign, the Premier Edition in Restricted Red colorway and the Limited Premier Edition deck. I am a huge fan of the Jetsetter brand and what it stands for. I love the vintage feel and detail that goes into each deck. Founder Paul Ruccio did an incredible job with these!

The back design of the Premier Edition showcases the Restricted Red colorway and features the repeated airplane pattern along with the Jetsetter logo in the traditional two-way casino style design. Inside, the cards are similar to those of the Premier Edition but updated with a black colorway on card backs, Ace of Spades and the court cards.

Kickstarter: Jetsetter Playing Cards Just Announced a Limited Edition Deck Add-On

Yesterday, news broke that Jetsetter Playing Cards was going to release a limited edition deck based on the most secret airline, JANET. Paul Ruccio, Jetsetter’s founder, revealed the news on the Jetsetter Playing Cards Premier Edition backer update on Kickstarter. Paul explained,

Callsign: JANET. The direct inspiration of the new limited deck from Jetsetter Playing Cards is the fleet of aircraft that operate as the most secret airlines in the United States. The aircraft are primarily unmarked aside from the dominate red stripe and the registration number required the FAA. The fleet has been designated to transport employees of Area 51 from Las Vegas directly to Groom Lake so they can work in seclusion on special 'black' projects.

This secretive deck will be printed by Expert Playing Card Company at a low production run of 500 decks using their Classic Finish. Expect many of the typical features that come from a deck released by Jetsetter Playing Cards. Check it out on Kickstarter NOW!

Kickstarter: Jetsetter Playing Cards: Premier Edition Releases in "Restricted Red"

Jetsetter Playing Cards: Premier Edition is back this year with a brand new colorway – Restricted Red – inspired from the most secret airline in the United States.

Analytics: Project by Numbers - Jetsetter Playing Cards (Premier Edition) Playing Cards

In our Project by Numbers analytic series, we look at the stats behind the Kickstarter project, from number of backers, pledge amounts, add-ons to traffic sources and shipping costs. In the first quarter of 2017, we will look at numbers behind Paul Ruccio's Kickstarter project,  Jetsetter (Premier Edition) Playing Cards- including backers, pledges, and shipping.

To start off, we want to thank Paul for the basic data and giving us a very rare insight of the numbers that make up this project.

The Project

The Jetsetter Premier Edition was launched almost a year ago, March 29th, 2016 with a funding goal of $8k. The 30-days project reached its goal on day 11 and achieved 35% above the funding goal. Project overview:

Backers

First, we look at the backer numbers. The 261 backers are made out of:

Domestic backers pledged on average $11.3 higher than international backers. Here's how the average domestic and international pledges look like:

The higher average pledge for international backers could be due to backers optimizing their shipping cost by pledging for higher tiers.

Where do the majority of the domestic backers come from? Here are the top 10 states by the number of domestic backers:

Pledges

Looking at the amount pledged of $10.8k, a large percentage of backers are based in the domestic United States with 72%.

Note that 3% of pledges did not get banked due non-processed credit card errors.

From the total pledged amount, 76% of the backers pledged $9 to $32 tiers, with the most popular pledge being the $9 reward tier, which consists one Jetsetter Premier Editon deck. Histogram as follows:

The one and two deck reward tiers are popular amongst domestic backers while international backers, pledged for the four and six deck reward tiers to save on shipping costs with large quantities as mentioned above.
