First Look: Patina Solids Deck

A new LotusinHand release is on the horizon! This drop introduces one of the most unusual and interactive card-back concepts ever attempted by the brand.

Each card is produced using a scratch-off printing process, in which a layer of metallic foil is stamped over the back design to hide a vibrant orange surface beneath. 

With every shuffle, cut, and flourish, the foil naturally begins to wear away, allowing you to leave a unique mark on every card through use. 

Whether intentionally scratched or gradually revealed through handling, each deck becomes a one-of-a-kind piece shaped by the way you play.

Collectors ordering 10 decks or more will receive a custom brick box, which doubles as a scratch-card surprise. Every brick includes a chance to win special prizes, including one of three Lotus #00 decks and the Patina Solid Uncut NFT.

As with past releases, NFT holders gain early access, opening 24 hours before the public sale (13th December 2025) on LotusinHand store.

Duo52 Playing Cards by Smooth Writing & LotusinHand

Unveiled by TCC during last month's Cardistry-Con China, Duo52 playing cards brings together the minimalist style of Lotus in Hand and the vintage, hand-drawn artistry of Lunzi in one beautifully balanced deck. 

This results in a seamless fusion of contemporary clarity and timeless character, designed to feel both fresh and nostalgic.

The Standard Edition is limited to just 1,000 decks, each sealed with a custom label. For collectors, a rare Gilded Edition has been produced in an edition of only 99 decks.

Flux Playing Cards

Motion. Optical. Illusion.

Lotus in Hand's Flux playing cards are produced in collaboration with Art of Play and designed by Bailiang Huang. Crafted for cardistry, the deck that explores the boundary between static and motion.

The back design is truly unique as they can be animated on the surface of the card. This adds an extra dimension of motion to your flourishes. The unique design is also carried over to the Ace of Spades. The face cards are standard with updated color palette, consistent with the black/white look of the deck.

The deck comes in a sleek and sturdy plastic box. On one side, the tuck elegantly showcases the animation of the back design every time you keep or remove the cards from the box. And on the other, has an image that while animated spells out the name of the deck, "FLUX".

To create the dynamic optical illusion, each deck comes with 2 striped plastic cards (one vertical, one horizontal). Printed in the USA by United States Playing Card Company.

From this diverse array of outputs, 50 exceptional designs were meticulously hand-picked to comprise the 50 Variants deck collection. Each deck of Variants contains 51 cards. Only 50 different decks available.

A fascinating deck by Taiwan-based cardistry group LotusinHand. Crafted specifically for the art of card flourishing, the deck comes with two symmetrical tiles of different colors on each side of the cards featuring a grey/turquoise and coral colorway. Today (14th May) at 12pm ET, Lotus in Hand will be releasing the Mesa Ventus playing cards. The eye-catching deck features a modern design with a modern cream/white colorway.

The semi-borderless back design with a blue/orange accent and a center vortex design accentuate the cards in cuts and spins, making flourishes hypnotizing. The face cards have been simplified and updated with the color palette of the deck

Thermo Solids Cardistry Deck by Lotus in Hand Drops TODAY!

When you think you have seen it all, Taiwanese cardistry group Lotus in Hand dropped an insane teaser that blew everyone's mind. The 1-minute video features their latest deck Termo Solids.

As the name suggests, the deck is printed with thermochromic ink, a type of dye that changes color when temperatures increase or decrease. 

The heat-sensitive card back can be seen changing color from black to lime green when fingers or hand contacts the deck. Very cool! The face cards are pretty much standard and the pips and indices come with a lime green colorway. 

Each order of 10 decks or more will come with a custom brick box printed with thermochromic ink. Also, Lotus in Hand will also be giving away Thermo Solid and OG Solid's 1/1 uncut NFTs to two random buyers of 10 decks or more. Holders of uncut NFTs will be granted early access to future releases.

Lotus in Hand's Echo x Smoke & Mirrors Releases Today!

Dan and Dave Buck's Smoke & Mirrors is getting another collab, this time with Taiwanese cardistry group, Lotus in Hand. The group's popular Echo deck is getting reimagined with the Smoke & Mirrors brand. The original Smoke & Mirrors brand playing cards were designed to be a personal deck for the Buck twins.

Releasing stateside tomorrow, November 6th, the deck is set to arrive in 2 colorways, black and white. The Echo x Smoke & Mirrors sports a 'bullseye' design with Dan and Dave's logo prominently featured on tuck box. The D&D logo design is showcased on the holographic card backs with white borders. Meanwhile, the face cards also showcase the D&D logo embedded within the number and courtss. The Ace of Spades and diptych Jokers are custom.

Two NEW Cardistry Decks Release TODAY!

Aquaberry Fontaines

A vibrant new aqua colorway but this time printed in Taiwan. According to Fontaine Cards Instagram post, it will be similar stock and finish as Echos V1 by Lotus in Hand. Released online this 15th August at 2pm PST. Only 1 of 2500. Limited to 1 brick per person. These will go extremely quick.



Also, Zach Mueller announced the opening of the Fontaine Store in conjunction with the launch of the Aquaberry Fontaine. However, the store will open to limited capacity this Saturday from 3pm-6pm. Limit of 1 brick Aquaberry per person.

The new Echo Playing Cards now comes in metallic blue colorway and the team at LotusinHand is calling it Artic Echo Playing Cards. The deck features a modern design with a blue/white colorway. The 'bullseye' design is prominent on the card backs and the face cards with striking colors that will sure to turn heads especially isolation, cuts, and spins. Cardistry: Ardor Gradient Playing Cards by Lotus in Hand

Taiwanese Cardistry group, Lotus in Hand is set to release the Ardor Gradient playing cards today (27th June 12pm ET). The deck is essentially a logo deck but with standard face cards with recolored court cards consistent with the color palette of the deck.

The colors range from orange to red, enabling unique patterns in fans and displays. The design subtly adds variety to each and every card flourishes. Printed in Taiwan by Dex Playing Card Co.

Taiwanese cardistry group, LotusinHand has released a new colorway for Echo Playing Cards, the Cardistry-Con 2019 Deck of the Year Award winner.

The new Echo Playing Cards now comes in green colorway and the team at LotusinHand is calling it Guerilla Echo Playing Cards.

The deck features a modern design with a green/white colorway. The 'bullseye' design is prominent on the card backs and the face cards with inverse colors that give it a striking and eye-catching look to card flourished especially isoloation, cuts and spins.

Cardistry: ECHO Wins Deck of the Year Award at Cardistry-Con Portland

ECHO Playing Cards won the "Deck of the Year Award" at Cardistry-Con 2019 in Portland, OR! This came as a surprise to us as Dealersgrip's Sepal and Orbit V6 was incredibly popular during the nomination stage.

Congrats to the Taiwanese cardistry group, LotusinHand. ECHO was nominated by the Cardistry community prior to the Con on social media and gained the top vote by attendees. Other decks in the category were Orbit v6, Error, RipNDip Fontaine and Sepal.

After months of generating excitement and hype on Instagram (@lotusinhand), Taiwan-based cardistry group, LotusinHand is set to release their first deck, Ventus Playing Cards on 29th April 2018 for pre-order.

The deck features a modern design with a dark blue/white colorway. The semi-borderless back design with a center vortex design accentuate the cards in cuts and spins, making flourishes hypnotizing. The face cards have been simplified and updated with the color palette of the deck. Here are 5 things you didn't know about Ventus Playing Cards:

1. The deck features colored stripes on the upper right and lower left corners of the faces.
This way when you do a fan with the faces you get three colored bans across the face of the fan.

2. The card backs have one of the most seamless semi-borderless design,
where the borders melt into the design and form a vortex.

3. Enhanced look.
The whole deck, from the back to the faces and even the ad cards are designed specifically to enhance the look of spins.

4. The deck will be printed in Taiwan 
with the factory's new softer and thinner Luxury stock and will also use their new finish, which when we last asked has no name yet. But it definitely leads to an improvement in terms of longevity of the deck when it comes to fans and spreads.

5. The designer.
The deck is designed by Red Dot Award-winning designer Bailiang (Instagram: @bailiang_huang), who drew inspiration from patterns of flowers when designing our deck's back design.
