Equinox I 2019 Standard Edition Playing Cards

Kings Wild launched its subscription service one year ago in September and the inaugural deck was Equinox playing cards which were limited to 144 of its subscribers.

The Equinox I - 2019 Standard Edition is a luxury reprint of the original deck and both the card manufacturer and tuck case manufacturer were upgraded to EPCC and Clove St. Press, respectively.

This will definitely give the Equinox I the same luxurious fit and finish as the Equinox II deck. Only 800 Standard Editions produced.

Also, the Equinox I 2019 Gilded Edition is also available. Kings Wild Shorts Subscribers will have early access to preorder until September 1st at which time the remaining decks will be made available to the general public.

The standard and gilded edition will be available soon on Kingswildproject.com for $18 and $35, respectively.

Deck View: DMC ELITES V4 in Forest Green

Magic. Marked. Green.

The ELITES are a unique collaboration between DMC and designer and magic creator Phill Smith. The new edition ELITES now sport a forest green colorway and feature the latest revision of the unique OPTICAL MARKING SYSTEM (OMS), a powerful 'reader' system designed specifically for the use of magicians and mentalists.

All faces are standard USPCC faces to maintain familiarity with your audience. One thing that stands out is the ingeniously hidden marking mechanic that is readable with extreme speed, at great range and even in poor light. It hides the value and suit of the card in plain sight with no decoding necessary - the back of the card literally says the value and the suit.

Cardistry: Z DECK by December Boys

We had the privilege of getting a sneak peek of the Z DECK before the released at Cardistry-Con and are really excited to see the deck finally released! The team at December Boys brings to life an experimental concept that will take card visuals to a whole new level.

A lot of thought has gone into the design of the deck. Firstly, the borderless back design was created to enhance the flow of all flourishes, fans, and spreads by creating a seamless pattern. Second, the face cards have been simplified to match the backs with only two colors used throughout the deck.

Finally, instead of usual ad cards and jokers, Z DECK features four green double-backed cards. By using a video-editing process called Chroma Keying these additional cards allow for completely unique look of the cards while in motion via post-editing.

The green screen effect is a post-production technique for compositing two images or video streams together based on color hues. There is a secret link provided on the tuck box to get access to a free instructional video on easy and fast editing on Mobile and PC, as well as exclusive cardistry tutorials by December Boys.
