Kardify is pleased and proud to introduce the first issue of its own MAGAZINE. We at Kardify values continuous improvement and to always create an inspiring place for collectors, creators, aspiring designers. As such, we are always finding new ways to connect and communicate, which is why we put together this magazine. The aim is to offer an overview to help you stay on top of playing card news. The monthly magazine will be a compilation of selected articles we’ve published.

Kickstarter: Foliage Playing Cards by Ace of Clubs Magic and Cards

Currently seeking funds on Kickstarter, the Foliage Playing Cards are conceptualized by magician Sam Porter and illustrated by magician and graphic designer Nick Vlow. The deck was designed to mirror the natural beauty and aesthetic of the Earth's forests.

The color palette of the cards is a deep, forest green with earthy brown colors on the face cards. The two-way back features a tree and vine-work pattern. The deck features custom Ace, card backs, recoloured courts and a pair of jokers.

A double backed card is included. Additionally, the deck was designed in classic style, so it will seem familiar to magic spectators.

On how the idea turned into reality, Sam said,

After drawing several sketches of my idea, I contacted Legends Playing Card Company. I was given a list of graphic designers and eventually settled on working with Nick Vlow, a fellow magician. It was a pleasure to work with him and the artwork turned out better than I had ever imagined. 

Pledge starts from $10 and will be printed by Legends Playing Card Co. Foliage Playing Cards are now LIVE on Kickstarter.

Card Radar: Misc. Goods Co. Cina Playing Cards

Available now from Misc. Goods Co., the Cina Playing Cards is a fully custom deck with collaborative art by their friend Michael Cina.

The illustrations for the face cards, the symbols, and even the tuck case have been completely redesigned.

The card backs showcase the unique abstract artwork done by Michael. Each face cards, from the court illustrations to the typography, is uniquely drawn. The tuck features the same color forms behind the gold foil print and a bright electric yellow in the tuck interior.

Like its predecessors, the deck is printed by the United States Playing Card Co. on Bee Paper Card Stock. Available now for $15 from Misc. Goods Co.

Card Flash: EDGE Playing Cards by TCC Playing Cards Co.

Available now from TCC Playing Card Co., the vibrant EDGE Playing Cards are designed by Creative Mints. There are a number of things to like about this deck, firstly the bold colors are truly contemporary, and they create an eye-catching deck.
