MILESTONE: 10 Million Page Views and Counting

Today, I'm incredibly grateful to share that the Kardify website has officially reached 10 million page views!

What started as a passion project back in 2014 has grown into an archive documenting the incredible creativity of the playing card industry. One thing I've always believed in is preserving that history, which is why every deck article published since day one remains accessible today (including Tuck Case articles). Looking back through those early posts is like taking a journey through the evolution of modern playing card design.

Over the past decade, I've had the privilege of watching countless talented designers, artists, publishers, and brands grow, experiment, and push the boundaries of what a deck of cards can be. It's been amazing to see the industry evolve, and even more rewarding... to share those stories with collectors around the world.

To everyone who has visited the site, read an article, shared a post, supported our Patreon, backed a project, or simply stopped by to discover something new... thank you. Your continued support has made this milestone possible.

I'm especially thankful for the friendships I've made along the way. For me, this community has always been about more than just playing cards, it's about the people behind the designs and the collectors who appreciate them.

Kardify's Deck of the Year 2021

 

Our annual Top12 has finally wrapped up, celebrating the past year in the playing card industry and looking ahead to the year to come. This year, there were plenty of cool collabs and incredible decks to keep the community excited and engaged. The biggest recognition this year is our inaugural 'Deck of the Year', and a dozen decks competed for it... see our Top12 article for the full list. 

This year, the 52 Plus Joker 2021 club deck took home the top prize! 

Created by Stockholm17 (Lorenzo Gaggiotti) and printed by the Expert Playing Card Company this stunning deck is sold exclusively to members of 52 Plus Joker. This limited edition deck is a fantastic representation of the world’s greatest playing card collector’s club.

The deck features a meticulously crafted tuck with two-piece tuck construction. The tuck box features a special Spade die-cut on the front. Gold hot foil on the tuck and a numbered custom-shaped label make this deck look incredible!

Inside, the deck comes with Stockholm17's fully customized courts and jokers. Stunning gold cold foil has been used on both sides of the cards, making them look incredible.

Nara Playing Cards- Reveal Trailer

Introducing Nara, our second deck in collaboration with Murphy's Magic. Cardistry is a mesmerizing art form, in which a cardist creates fascinating displays through the movement of playing cards.

Kardify's Deck of the Year 2020

Our annual Top12 has finally wrapped up, celebrating the past year in the playing card industry and looking ahead to the year to come. Even with the uncertainty this year, there were plenty of cool, incredible decks to keep the community engaged and involved. The biggest recognition this year is our inaugural 'Deck of the Year', and a dozen decks competed for it... see our Top12 article for the full list.

It was ultimately Kings Wild's Legal Tender Holographic deck that took home the top prize. 

Legal Tender is the culmination of some of Kings Wild's most breathtaking artwork combined with the industry-leading advancements in printing technology and production, inspired by artist Jackson Robinson's love of currency art and banknote engraving.

The deck strikes a balance between classic banknote engraving and the modern sleekness of high tech banknote manufacturing. Every aspect of this deck was thoughtfully planned and no detail was overlooked. 

From the subtle background images of the Statue of Liberties' torch to the Declaration of Independence, every aspect amplifies the truly beautiful artwork of the deck that has been present on the US currency for many years but is presented in an incredibly new and creative way.

What a long, strange, and challenging year it has been. But we have playing cards. Both the industry and community continue to grow amidst the global pandemic. Fantastic new designs, new collabs, new printing technologies, and new packaging ideas!

First Look at Six Strings Playing Cards

A collaboration between Kardify and Murphy's Magic, Six Strings is a fully custom deck of playing cards inspired by the most majestic and fascinating musical instrument- the guitar.

This limited edition deck is designed by Ade Suryana and features fully custom design, reimagined courts, and a beautifully crafted letter-pressed tuck case. Six Strings is as beautiful as it is functional – versatile for themed magic, game nights or to have in the collection.

Inside, the deck looks amazingly beautiful and unique! It is visually appealing and designed around familiarity. The pips on Six Strings have been given an update with themed custom suits and classic font for the lettering and numbers.

The court cards are gorgeous and each card has a different face with its own uniquely designed wardrobe with classic ornament details and guitar instrument, giving a good balance of having a custom design while keeping the integrity of a standard deck of playing cards.
