Final Days! Black Roses (Sunny Days Edition) Playing Cards

Black Roses (Sunny Days Edition) Playing Cards by Black Roses Playing Cards is a calm, thoughtfully designed deck that reinterprets the Black Roses aesthetic through softer tones, minimalist elegance, and hidden functionality.

Rather than relying on loud visuals, Sunny Days Edition focuses on subtle detail work and balanced colour palettes designed to evoke calmness and lightness while still maintaining the brand’s signature sophistication.

This edition features fully custom artwork with every standard court card carefully redrawn for cleaner lines and a more refined appearance. The lighter colourway introduces a fresh visual identity while preserving the recognizable Black Roses design language

Beyond aesthetics, the deck is packed with hidden utility for magicians and card enthusiasts. A fully marked reader back system is seamlessly integrated into the floral back design, allowing performers to identify cards instantly while remaining virtually invisible to spectators.

Additional hidden revelations, subtle one-way face elements, and specialty gaff cards, including a mismade Queen of Clubs and duplicate 2 of Diamonds.... expand the deck’s creative possibilities for magic routines and visual storytelling.

Limited to 2,000 decks worldwide. Printed by WJPC and pledge starts at $15 on Kickstarter.

Black Roses Casino Vintage Casino Deck

Black Roses Casino Vintage Casino Deck by Black Roses Playing Cards, designed by Daniel Schneider, is a limited-edition deck that leans heavily into classic casino aesthetics with a stylised twist.

The deck features a pastel blue and white colourway, giving it a softer, vintage-inspired look compared to traditional casino decks.

The back design draws clear inspiration from iconic gambling decks like Jerry's Nugget, complete with a familiar layout and “nugget-style” typography, while still maintaining the Black Roses identity.

In terms of design, the deck keeps things mostly traditional. The faces are standard with subtle recolouring, while the court cards are lightly customised, making it easily recognizable. The jokers feature a Black Roses casino sign, and minimalist Ace of Spades.

There’s also a reveal element hidden within the deck, along with a double backer-style gaff card featuring a borderless variation of the back design.

Limited with a numbered seal, the number of decks will be printed depending on pre-orders. Decks are available to per-order on Black Roses for $16.50.

Red Roses (Gold Foil Edition) Playing Cards

The Red Roses return in their most luxurious form yet.. this time fully marked and adorned with brilliant gold foil. Now on Kickstarter, this edition captures the spirit of elegance and performance, while paying tribute to the deck’s humble beginnings.

The journey of the Red Roses began in 2014, when just 10 decks were created as a small add-on to Daniel Schneider's very first crowd-funding campaign. What started as a quiet experiment soon grew into one of his most beloved designs, and in 2018, the first official edition was released

Now, seven years later, that story continues with the Red Roses Gold Foil Edition, the ultimate expression of this classic design. Inside., the backs feature a fully marked reader system, simple for you to read, yet invisible to others- praised by magicians and creators alike as one of the most elegant and deceptive systems ever designed.

Hidden one-way faces and clever revelations are woven into the artwork, opening doors to endless possibilities for magic and surprise. Even the faces themselves shine with targeted gold foil details, making the deck sparkle with life. Also, built-in gaffs, including a double backer and duplicate card, further expand its potential.

The tuck box is a work of art in itself, wrapped in luxurious gold foil on the outside and finished with golden paper on the inside, making the very act of opening the deck feel special.

Printed by WJPC and pledge starts at $19 on Kickstarter.

Dondorf Playing Cards, Less Than 48 Hours Remaining on Kickstarter!

Daniel Schneider has launched on Kickstarter his latest project, the beautiful Dondorf Playing Cards, a deck of cards from the late 19th century, revived and redesigned to honor those almost forgotten art pieces. According to Daniel on the campaign page,
Lithographer and printer Bernhard Dondorf founded the B. Dondorf company on April 2, 1833 as printing and trading company in Frankfurt, Germany. He specialized in high-quality print products. From 1839 they mainly focused on the production of playing cards. With this revived and redesigned deck from the late 19th century I want to honor these almost forgotten art pieces.

There are 2 versions available during the campaign- the standard edition in green and limited edition in gold. Both decks feature an elegant floral back design, in their respective colors. The floral design is also featured on the beautiful Ace of Spades and a peacock inside the Ace.

The other face cards are pretty much standard with a vintage look and feel to them. The court cards, in particular, are beautifully reproduced!

The clean artwork combined with beautiful presentation gives the vintage courts a modern appearance.

Printed by the USPCC on premium thin crushed stock with Air-Cushion finish. Pledge starts at $12 on Kickstarter.

Also, other items such as collector marble half brick boxes, poker chip, sticker, backer certificate, a limited Private Reserve Remedies and an exclusive Black Roses Supporter Edition are available during the campaign.
