Discounted Brother McPint (With Imperfection) Playing Cards

Brother McPint Playing Cards by Stockholm17 is a fully custom deck that blends dark humour, crime themes, and pub-inspired irreverence into a playful collector release.

Set within the fictional world of “The Sanctuary,” the deck imagines a gang of petty criminals disguised as clergy, running crooked card games, bootlegging spirits, and plotting elaborate heists behind monastery walls. The artwork carries the same visual style as the S.M. Gorda and F. Firkin decks, featuring fully illustrated courts, Jokers, and a custom Ace of Spades.

This fully custom deck comes housed in a foil-and-embossed tuck box wrapped in cellophane. Unlike previous related releases, this version omits the hidden heist-plan background details, giving the artwork a cleaner presentation.

A notable production issue affected part of the print run, leaving some tuck boxes with visible side creases while the cards themselves remained unaffected. Rather than discarding the imperfect stock, the Lorenzo Gaggiotti released these “Second Choice” decks at a discounted price after individually inspecting each copy.

Available NOW for $7.50 on Stockholm17.

Creators: Stockholm17 Art for "Magic: The Gathering"

Lorenzo Gaggiotti, known for his work under Stockholm17, brings his distinctive style to Magic: The Gathering with four Mystical Archive cards for the Secrets of Strixhaven release.

Originally approached by Wizards of the Coast in 2024, Lorenzo’s first assignment was Smallpox, followed by Shamanic Revelation, Sheoldred’s Edict, and Monstrous Rage. Each piece required balancing detailed briefs with his signature illustrative style... blending intricate symbolism and narrative composition.

Highlights include the complex staging of Sheoldred’s Edict, depicting a judgment scene within tight spatial limits, and the conceptual design of Monstrous Rage, where a triangular arrangement of skulls represents stages of transformation. His work on Smallpox and Shamanic Revelation draws clear inspiration from his acclaimed deck, The House of the Rising Spade.

This collaboration marks a full-circle moment for Lorenzo, a longtime MTG player turned official contributor, merging his roots in custom playing cards with one of the world’s most iconic trading card games.

Echoes in the Palace (Standard Edition) Playing Cards

Stockholm17's latest release, Echoes in the Palace (Standard Edition) playing cards is a narrative-driven poker deck where each suit unfolds a dramatic story of power, intrigue, and consequence.

Inspired by Renaissance triptychs, the Jack, Queen, and King of every suit form a connected tableau, presenting scenes that feel like fragments of a silent courtly drama.

Designed for both gameplay and divination, the deck explores themes of deception, ambition, desire, and judgment. The custom courts adopt a tarot-like layout, giving each card added symbolic weight and encouraging deeper interpretation beyond traditional play.

Four distinct Jokers embody the forces of fate: Madness, Fortune, Misfortune, and Disguise... further enriching the narrative and offering an additional layer of meaning within the deck’s unfolding story.

A shared palace backdrop runs throughout the entire deck, unifying each card within the same world of shifting power and hidden secrets. Finished with gold foil on the back design.

Printed by WJPC and available from Stockholm17 for $15.

Odd Fellows (From The Sanctuary) Playing Cards

The story of Stockholm17's Odd Fellows continues at 17 Sinner’s Street on Kickstarter. This time, behind the walls of a crooked British pub called The Sanctuary, where a gang of petty criminals disguised as members of the clergy prepares for their most daring heist.

Their eyes are fixed on Triton’s Iris, an ancient artifact valued in the millions and soon to be exhibited at Cleremont Manor. Father Firkin and Sister Merry Gorda, the ringleaders of this crooked congregation, are determined to pull it off, but the police are already closing in after an anonymous tip-off.

The story unfolds through a deck of playing cards smuggled inside modified hip flasks. These vessels appear ordinary at first glance, yet their false bottoms hide the evidence... precious cards edged in metallic finishes, including Father Firkin’s deck with gilded wasabi green. The illusion is perfect: a flask for contraband spirits concealing contraband of a different kind.

Inside the decks, the court cards introduce The Sanctuary Court, a dozen misfits who each play a role in the gang. The Diamonds are responsible for bribes and money laundering, the Hearts specialize in disguise and misdirection, the Spades are driven by temptation and lust, while the Clubs provide muscle through brute force and intimidation.

Among them appear figures such as Cardinal Sin, Sister Cloak, Bishop Hops, and Father Dagger, their names and faces brimming with irreverent wit. Even the Jokers are steeped in brewing lore, represented by Firkin, the small ale cask, and Gorda, the massive sherry barrel, both symbols of the gang’s clandestine trade.

The card backs are ornate and saintly at first glance, but closer inspection reveals that the figures are crooked, just like the Odd Fellows themselves. Each deck carries hidden fragments of the gang’s plan: the floor plan of Cleremont Manor sliced into fifty-six pieces, a treasure map disguised as a full deck of cards. Only when the uncut sheet is revealed does the entire conspiracy come into view.

Pledger starts at $36 on Kickstarter.

The Parlour Royale Playing Cards on Kickstarter

The Parlour Royale Playing Cards mark a grand return to the origins of The Gentleman Wake’s first deck, reimagined by Stockholm17. Six years after the original release, this revival blends the elegance, and class that defined the series with new design elements.

The back design introduces a sophisticated hourglass silhouette framing the TGW spade monogram, a nod to the passage of time since the first edition. Ornate scrollwork and rhinoceros beetle motifs add layers of Victorian-inspired detail, while shimmering cold foil brings a luxurious sheen.

Each edition: Ivory, Legacy, and the limited Prism offers its own distinct visual identity, from the warm, eggshell tones of Ivory to the rich gold gilding of Legacy and the mesmerizing prismatic holo-foil of Prism.

Every court card is fully custom yet instantly recognizable, adorned with subtle Victorian flourishes and accented in foil. The aces are illustrated with intricate backdrops, featuring characters like Rey Roy-Owl and the winged rhinoceros beetle, while the jokers continue the deck’s tradition of whimsical, anthropomorphic figures.

The tuck cases are as elaborate as the cards themselves, with embossed foil printing, ornate typography, and die-cut windows that frame the owl-and-beetle Ace of Spades. The interior patterns and color choices, from vermillion in Ivory to metallic gold in Legacy and vivid purple in Prism elevate each edition into a work of art.

Printed by WJPC on 310gsm smooth-handling paper stock with a linen finish. Pledge starts at $17 on Kickstarter.
