Wow! Where do we start with these stunning decks?! Lorenzo Gaggioti of Stockholm17 has outdone himself with the House of the Rising Spades Playing Cards. The decks are richly detailed and Lorenzo’s incredible artwork, in particular, the court cards, adds mystery with bold royals and contrast.

Both Cartomancer and Faro editions are exquisite! The tucks, produced by Lotrek’s Oath Playing Cards, are truly breathtaking. The tuck is exceptionally sturdy, and the foil and embossing are in excellent register with the printed artwork.

Inside, the Cartomancer deck has a tarot look and feel. The aces have a magick sigil, and you will notice the stunning gold borders on all 54 face cards. Cartomancer is printed by Cartamundi with B9 true linen finish and cold-foil on both sides of the cards.

Meanwhile, the Faro edition is closer to the traditional poker decks from the 1800’s. Printed by the USPCC, the face cards have no indices and you will notice the one-way design for all the face cards. It took a while to get used to the one-way design but you will hardly notice it after a few games.

Definitely one of the best decks released this year. If you want a deck to impress for game nights or just in the collection, definitely pick a few up. Available at stockholm17.com.
