The card backs feature a unique Wayang Shadow Puppet along with a beautiful lotus flower. For the face cards, the pips, indices, and courts are custom and do suit the look and feel of the deck. Also, each Ace has its own unique design and pattern, making all of the Aces worth looking at. and exemplifies the uniqueness of this deck.

Coming Soon: Malam Playing Cards by System 6 Magic

[Update] Project is now live on Kickstarter.

Coming soon from the guys who brought you the Believe deck, comes another meticulously crafted deck: the Malam Playing Cards. Created by System 6 Magic, Malam is inspired by the amazing Native American's and their Tribes.

There will be two versions available, each with its own unique features. The Deluxe Edition comes with all the bells and whistles, custom court cards, custom pips, custom aces and in a gold-foiled embossed tuck box.

The Standard edition includes the custom gold-foild embossed tuck box, the custom Ace of Spades and the custom Courts. All the number cards have standard pips. This gives a good balance of having the beautiful design while keeping the integrity of a standard pack of playing cards. Perfect for the working Magician who does not draw to much attention to the design.

Both decks will be printed by the EPCC on thier Classic Finish card stock. Malam Playing Cards will be available on Kickstarter from early next week. We take this opportunity to wish all the best to the team at System 6 Magic.

Kickstarter: Believe Playing Cards

The Believe playing cards designed by the guys at System6Magic. This uniquely crafted deck is inspired by the Wayang Kulit (Shadow Puppets) of the Island of Java, Indonesia. The detail and intricacy used to create the Wayang Kulit have been meticulously replicated in this deck - incorporating mythical eastern elements and modern western design.

Currently a Kickstarter campaign, the project is seeking $10k in funding and there is no doubt the goal will be met in the next few days. A lot of thought has been put into the concept and the development of the deck.

For example, the backs include a unique Wayang Shadow Puppet along with a beautiful lotus flower. The incredible detail on the trim and border are simply stunning!

With most decks, the Ace of Spades is the most predominant card. Believe went the extra mile and treated each Ace equally. Each one has its own unique design and pattern, making all of the Aces worth looking at.

As for the face cards, the pips and the font used are custom and do suit the look and feel of the deck However, the court cards seem to be a little out of place - the intricate designs are replicated beautifully but the faces and traditional court costumes does not exemplify the uniqueness of this deck. There are plans to re-do the court cards by System6Magic before the campaign ends. If you have ideas, do pledge and submit your feedback.

The deck will be printed by the United States Playing Card Company. Along with the deck, additional add-ons such as posters, card clips and t-shirts will be available for pledges above $35.

The first deck is due out to the backers by December 2013.

Kickstarter: System 6 Magic Set to Launch First Deck Project

System 6 Magic, a New York based magic company, is gearing up to launch their first deck project on Kickstarter in the next couple of days. In an Instagram comment on a recently teased image, System 6 noted that the latest the deck would launch would be on Monday or Labor Day.

Small parts of the upcoming deck have been teased on their Instagram account and other social media for the past few months but just this past week followers have finally been given a glimpse of full card and tuck case designs. The deck, which currently has no formally released name, features a lot of deep detail and symbols that are reminiscent of the detail and line work found on currency. From a far the detailed design works together creating a "circuit board" effect.

The tuck case does not feature Bicycle branding but the deck will be printed by The United States Playing Card Company.

System 6 Magic is an up and coming magic company that was founded by New York based magicians Michael “Six” Muldoon and Devonte Rosero.
