Cardistry: Cardistry-Con, New York Day 1

The inaugural Cardistry-Con is underway in Brooklyn, New York. Organised by Dan and Dave, Zach Mueller of Fontaine Cards, The Virts and Dealersgrip, Cardistry-Con is a three-day conference devoted to the blossoming art of cardistry. Thanks to Simon Bruno, designer of the upcoming Glassback Playing Cards on Kickstarter, April 14th, we are able to share some images of the Cardistry-Con with you.

On April 10, cardists from all over the world gathered to share, inspire, learn and collaborate, and have an absolute blast together. The event includes talks, panel discussions, live performances, exclusive video screenings, Q&As, workshops, contests and giveaways.

Headliners for Day 1 includes Dimitri, Aviv, Andrew, Alejandro, Spencer, Chase, Franky Morales, Kevin Ho, Zach Mueller, Tobias, Oliver, Nikolaj, Birger Karlsson, Eliot Slevin, Huron, Daren, Noel Heath.

Cardistry Con-versations such as Two-Handed Cuts (image above) and Practice and workshop for the popular flourish Curly Cue were covered on Day 1.

Live streaming (or on demand) is available for cardists who are not able to make it to the event. In addition, anyone with the online pass will be able to engage with everyone attending the event in Brooklyn. There is a comments stream below the video for questions, requests, or have a discussion. These comments are projected onto a wall at the event for everyone present to see and interact with. The inaugural Cardistry-Con in Brooklyn, New York ended successfully after an amazing three days of cardistry! Thanks to Simon Bruno, designer of the upcoming Glassback Playing Cards on Kickstarter, April 14th, we are able to share several images from the final day of the Cardistry-Con with you. The final day of the con began with an announcement by Zach Mueller.

Talks highlights for the final day includes Workshop on Isolation with Franky and Hector and Con-Versation of Custom Playing Cards with The Virts, Zach, Dan and Dave and Tobias.

The inaugural Cardistry-Con continues in Brooklyn, New York - an amazing event devoted to the art of cardistry. Thanks to Simon Bruno, designer of the upcoming Glassback Playing Cards on Kickstarter, April 14th, we are able to share some images from the second day of the Cardistry-Con with you. The second day of the conference successfully kept the momentum that cardists have experienced in the previous day. Talks highlights of the second day includes video screening of "Pacemaker" by Tobias and Oliver, Workshop of Paddiddle and Con-Versation of Cardistry Videomaking with The Virts, Zach, Tobias, Oliver, Dimitri, Ladislas, and Allan Hagen.

Cardistry-Con Orbit V4 Playing Cards

The Cardistry-Con Orbit V4 Playing Cards (CC V4) mark a bold return, created exclusively for the New York Cardistry-Con last year. The CCV4 deck makes its presence felt with confidence and attitude, drawing directly from the city’s unmistakable visual language.

Set against a deep black background, the back design features metallic ink hand-style tags that pop with energy, echoing the raw expression of street art. Taxi yellow accents run throughout the deck, paired with inspiration pulled from the New York subway system and graffiti culture, giving the cards an unmistakably urban edge.

The matte tuck box keeps things clean and understated, while subtle marking and metallic ink details add both function and flair.

Cardistry: That Happened in The U.S.A - Chapter 1: New York

Following Art of Play's the release of the official Cardistry-Con 2017 video, the team at Cardistry Touch released a series of videos on their journey Cardistry-Con. Directed by François Dubois, the first chapter features notable cardists such as Dimitri Arleri, Ladislas Toubart, Patrick Varnavas, Quentin Gaspard, Kevin Ho, Frank Sung, Adam Kerchman and Matt Fox in New York.

Take a Look at the Cardistry-Con 2025 Deck

Cardistry-Con returns to New York this weekend, and with it comes a deck as iconic as the gathering itself. Produced in collaboration with the United States Playing Card Company, this deck is a limited release designed to embody the energy and artistry of the cardistry community.

The bold deck features a predominantly black-and-white colorway, combining classic simplicity with striking visual impact. Standard courts are preserved for familiarity, while a custom Ace of Spades, Jokers, and card backs set the deck apart. 

The one-way, borderless back design is adorned with black dots, with the letters “CC” revealed cleverly through negative space styling. The cards are housed in a letterpressed matte custom tuck case, a minimalist yet refined design.

Limited to just 1,800 decks, every purchase of the CC25 edition supports the continuation of this unique global gathering, helping to ensure that future events can bring cardists together from around the world.

Here's What We Know About the Launch of Anyone Worldwide's Bomb Playing Cards Today

Anyone Worldwide is set to release a new deck of playing cards in collaboration with As Is NYC (a modern craft beer bar) today. From their various Instagram post, here's what we know so far:

1. Sales of Bomb Playing Cards will be made available at 11am at 734 10th Avenue, At 50th Street, New York.

ANYONE X AS IS We’ve teamed up with our friends @asisnyc to make a beer, a glass, and a deck of cards. Available August 4th. 11 AM. 734 10th Avenue. Drop by for a beer and a deck if you’re in the area.
