5 Things You Should Know About the Re-Release of Joker and the Thief's Signature Decks on Kickstarter

[Update] The Joker and the Thief Signature Decks are now LIVE on Kickstarter!

The cool guys at Joker and the Thief are set to re-release their original signature series on August 10 at 6PM PDT. Long out of print, Joker and the Thief Playing Card Co. is bringing about a set of completely refreshed playing cards that now match their new standards of production- the PERFECT versions of the decks that started it all.

1. The Idea. Founder James Milaras told Kardify, "The idea arose when the guys at Joker and the Thief realized MANY of you had never even got the chance to get your hands on the original trilogy. Especially the Blood Red Edition which was quietly released and in an extremely limited quantity."

2. Made in the USA. As you may know, the first 3 decks were printed in Taiwan. JT doesn’t consider their handling up to par. They saw the need to bring the original cards up to speed with the feel of Dystopia, Maidens and Street Edition. "Everybody loves the handling of a USPCC deck, so why not give you what you want. They're betting the new White Gold Edition will be the best handling deck due to its minimal ink saturation."

3. Letterpress Tuck Boxes. Crafted with the most luxurious paper in the industry, with satin finish foil inside and out, and proper embossing. "Original boxes just didn't have the same structural integrity as their newer decks. The blue decks also had a fraying issue on the inside flap. The boxes also weren't glued at the bottom, only folded in. We found the foil to be a little too reflective too, so We’ve elected to go with a gorgeous satin foil instead."

4. Unique Seals. New high-quality seals - Red for the Midnight Blue Edition, Gold for the White Gold Edition and White for the Blood Red Edition. "Oh and they will have proper perforation for ease of access. These will be one of the main visual differentiation."

5. More cool features. The deck will showcase some cool features including, thinner borders on all 3 decks, new ad cards with never before seen, unreleased artwork, and proper Metallic Ink! James The original decks just didn't have the shimmer the team wanted. Dystopia and Maidens have killer luminous metallic ink. "Imagine White Gold Edition with incredible shiny gold metallic ink all over! The other decks are said to look incredible with bright accents woven into the design."
