News: Toomas Pintson Releases Superfly Playing Cards

This deck came out of nowhere! Superfly Playing Cards is the seventh release of the year for Estonian playing card designer Toomas Pintson under his Gemini Decks brand. This deck may not be to everyone's liking, Toomas tells Kardify,

I try to put out as many different decks as possible and push the deck designs in different direction compared to what other companies do.

Inspired by the popular streetwear culture, Superfly features a red-white colorway with custom mirrored back design, Ace of Spades, Jokers and semi-custom court cards. The back design element can be found on the pip of the face cards, including the court cards. According to Toomas,

Superfly is definitely inspired by Supreme and all these other streetwear brands like Off-White, BAPE etc. I mixed different patterns together and used bold fat lettering to get the look. It's supposed to look a bit random but the design looks and feels good in the hand when doing the packed cutting.

News: Toomas Pintson Releases Superfly Royale Green

The Superfly Royale Green is the follow-up to the popular Superfly Playing Cards first released 2 years ago. Designed by Estonian designer Toomas Pintson under the Gemini Decks brand, the deck is inspired by the popular streetwear culture.

The deck is definitely inspired by Supreme and all these other streetwear brands like Off-White, BAPE etc. Toomas combine different patterns together and used bold fat lettering to get the 'street' culture look.

Superfly features a green/white colorway with a red box Superfly logo on the custom mirrored back design, Ace of Spades and Jokers. Unlike the original Superfly, the back design element can only be found on the semi-custom court cards.

News: New Mako Playing Cards in Red Colorway by Toomas Pintson

Mako was the first cardistry deck produced by Gemini Playing Card Co. featuring an eye-pleasing back designed specifically for the mesmerizing artform in mind. This week, designer Toomas Pintson just released the Red edition of Mako. It is definitely louder and brighter than its more muted predecessor.

Inside, Mako comes with standard faces to make it appear as an everyday object and a functional deck. The bordered red card backs are definitely eye-catching! Flourishes, fans, and cascade will certainly turn some heads.

Cardistry: Goblin Playing Cards by Toomas Pintson Released!

Toomas Pintson continues to surprise with the release of the mesmerizing Goblin Playing Cards. The deck was one of two decks dropped late last week on geminidecks.com.

Designed for cardists in mind, Goblins comes in custom black face cards with green, purple and silver metallic inks. Goblin is a borderless deck featuring eye-catching back design with complex interlacing and wavy lines - designed from the ground up to create beautiful fans.

The Ace of Spades, pips and Jokers are custom with the exception of the recolored standard court cards. Goblins are designed to accentuate spinning moves, spins and flourishes with spiral lines on the top right, bottom left and middle of the face cards.

News: Hanson Chien Production Co. Are Releasing Pearl Playing Cards Sunrise and Sunset Edition

Inspired by the beauty of nature, Pearl Playing Cards is a set of custom decks designed by Toomas Pintson and produced by Hanson Chien Production Co. The decks are designed from the ground up and feature a unique and very colourful hand painted back design and custom court cards that complement the overall design of the decks.

The Pearl deck was originally launched on Indiegogo back in 2015. Hanson told Kardify,

I saw Toomas launch the project on Indiegogo, but unfortunately, the project was not successful. I think this was due to the lack of marketing and promotion.

Similar to Omar Renfro's Red Stripe deck, Hanson bought over the copyright and repackaged their project. According to Hanson,

My original intention is to let talented people be seen, this is more important than anything. When I contacted Toomas, he showed me almost all of his designs, and many of his designs impressed me.

The design of the Pearl deck has been updated. Hanson continued,

There was something missing with the Pearl deck on Indiegogo. I provided him with a lot of my ideas and suggestions. In the end, we drastically changed the design and kept the title and beautiful back design.

There will be two editions on offer: Pearl Sunrise and Pearl Sunset. Sunrise has a lighter, more vibrant tone than the Sunset Edition. Both editions are fully customized from the Ace of Spades, Jokers to the Courts with color palettes to match the deck.

News: The GEMINI Casino Playing Cards Are Back in New Red Colourway

Red Gemini is the second edition to the popular Gemini Casino decks line up. Conceptualized by Estonian playing card designer Toomas Pintson, Gemini is a fictional casino deck inspired by treasured classics like Jerry's Nugget and Dunes Casino playing cards.

I named this casino after my astrological sign Gemini. It really sounds and looks like a legit casino that may have existed in Las Vegas in the '70s.

Toomas Pintson is on fire! The Collector's Edition Gemini Casino deck was one of two decks dropped yesterday on geminidecks.com and was sold out in 30 minutes! This is the sixth deck based on the fictional casino deck that was designed to look like a vintage deck you might find in an old Las Vegas warehouse from the ’70s.
