The new format for the Cardistry-Con Championship (CCC) has just been announced this week. The first notable change is the structure of the competition where the single-elimination tournament style will be introduced this year.
16 cardists will be paired up against each other and the winner of each pairing will move on to the next round until 1 remains ( Champion!). This format is similar to that used in the popular WKC. According to the @cardistrycon's post on Instagram, they hope that the change will make things more exciting and provide more variety from the top 16 candidates chosen to compete in the CCC.
Also, there will be no themed rounds AND no time limit during the elimination round, giving contestants more freedom to distinguish themselves. The organizers of CCC will begin accepting audition videos on May 14th of which, 16 contestants will be selected for the elimination format. CCC is expected to take place from June to September, leading up to Cardistry HK on 21-23 September.
