Spaceship Playing Cards on Kickstarter

Card Mafia is known for its fun and innovative decks with cool tuck boxes. From the classic fanning tuck boxes on the Marvel and Arsenal series to the transformative giant tuck boxes on the Demon series. This year, Card Mafia presents another transformative giant tuck box with a sci-fi-themed series, Spaceship Playing Cards.

The tuck box for Spaceship Playing Cards features a gigantic box constructed with many layers of components made of premium matte stock with three different hot foiling and advanced 3D strategic embossing. These components were laser engraved and cut, hot stamped, and then hand assembled to create the box that can formed into a galactic spaceship.

The artworks featured the exterior framework of the spaceship done in cyan, holographic, and white foil. When the box is expanded, it will form a big spaceship, complete with its “Escape Hatch”, which is a special LED component to the structure. The box will contain the sleeve which will store the cards.

The tuck box for Cosmo Pod Playing Cards features a simpler form of the series. It is constructed with premium matte paper, embossing, and three different metallic hot foils. It is a smaller construction with a simple opening. The artworks are done with gold/green, silver and white foil.

The back design features the spaceship schematics in symmetrical two-way illustrations. It features the Cosmo Voyager spaceship, as seen in the shape of a gigantic box construction. The Aces featured power pips illustrated as a pip-shaped spacecraft.

The courts featured a variety of space farers, either humans, robots, or aliens – they come in different classes, from the healing medic to fighting warriors. The Spaceship Edition features cards on a black background with silver and cyan details, while Cosmo Pod Edition features cards on a white background with silver and gold/green details – also with the white-bordered back design. There are metallic inks applied to the artwork on the cards.

Both editions will be printed by TWPCC and pledge starts from $17 on Kickstarter. The Green Edition is an exclusive edition for specific reward tiers. Also, ervery pledge comes with a short story related to the series.

Kickstarter: Bident & Thunder Playing Cards

Less than a week remaining on Kickstarter, the 7th and 8th Weapon of the Arsenal Series by Card Mafia are inspired by the Greek God of the Sky & Underworld. Like its predecessor, the eye-catching deck features the same eye-catching tuck concept. When the luxurious box is spread out, each piece is lined by a stunning Foil line, which traces the weapon-shaped cutouts. When retracted, the eight parts come together to create a window through which the weapon can be seen.

The Thunder tuck case is infused with 3 different hot foils: Gold, Black, and Holographic Gold, while the Bident Tuck case comes with Silver, Black, and Holographic Silver.

Inside, the card backs follow the overall style and color palette of the tuck box. The card backs feature more sharp corners and alternating lines to complement the sleek and sharp corners of the Lightning Symbol.

The faces of the Thunder Decks are redesigned to give off one of the most epic feelings yet! By utilizing the classic and elegant look of golden lines, the entire deck flows with lightning flowing throughout.

The court cards are again featured with the twelve Olympian Gods and Goddesses. The artwork of the Olympian Gods on the twelve court cards have been revamped to give it a more exquisite and mighty look under the influence of the mighty Zeus. They are illustrated with elegant gold lines emphasizing their fierce weapons and glimmering silver eyes.

Unlike other weapons in the Arsenal Series, Zeus’s Thunderbolt is more than just a weapon; it is a source of power and symbolizes his mighty energy. The Ace of Spades features the Thunderbolt in full power with Gold Ink passing through. The Ace of Hearts features the eagle figure, which is one of Zeus’s symbols in Greek Mythology. The giant scepter and wreath in the Ace of Clubs indicated Zeus’s usual attributes. Lastly, the Ace of Diamonds features Prometheus passing the torch he stole from Zeus to mankind.

Rather than the traditional suits, the deck of cards features the use of different shapes to reinvent the suit symbols, giving an advanced, technological feel to the cards. The suits are represented with gold and silver to replace the conventional black and red colorway.
