Cardistry: Dealersgrip Member Leaves Group

Tobias Levin has left Dealersgrip. The news was announced via a message shared on social media and confirmed by Oliver Sogard. Dealersgrip formed in 2014 and have since released multiple cardistry tutorials including the award-winning flourish “Flip Phone” and recently, the STRIPE Playing Cards.

The message announcing Tobias’s departure read;

Hey guys, so after 3 amazing years with dealersgrip, I’ve chosen to move on to other things. It’s been incredible to see the community flourish and for dealersgrip to be a part of it. I am truly grateful for all the support we’ve received, without you non of this would have been possible. For me Stripe playing cards and everything we’ve accomplished with dealersgrip, represents something bigger than just a deck of cards. It is a realisation of the urge to break free from the doubt that I can’t realise my dreams. Having the cards finally in my hands and seeing the community embrace them, gives me a deep motivation to follow what I feel is right for me. The work I’ve accomplished with Oliver is something I am very proud of and dealersgrip will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you, you'll hear from me soon 🤙🏼 This does not mean dealersgrip will end. It only means that I'm going to be working on other things. #noconfusion

Remaining member, Olivier have stated that Dealersgrip will continue under a new format, “Good luck with your future endeavours,” he wrote. “Dealersgrip will continue under a new format - more info on this TBA.”

Last week, the group just completed shipping out STRIPE Playing Cards,

Much to the relief of all his fans, Tobias is NOT leaving Cardistry.

Dealersgrip and ANYONE Reveals New Decks

Cardistry groups Dealersgrip, and ANYONE have just revealed their new upcoming decks and both are truly unique in their own way.

ENTIRE

Dealersgrip's new deck, ENTIRE (pictured above) continues the abstract art series with an oval-shaped one-way card back. The face cards are looks almost standard with the exception of the jokers and Ace of Spades. From the teaser video (below), the court seems to have an oval-shaped design similar to the card backs. The tuck box features 4 small oval die-cut windows giving a view of the card back design within. This reminds me of Thanos' infinity gauntlet. The deck will be available online on 17th September.

DOT/CAP SPLIT RE-EDITION

On the same day, ANYONE has teased an intriguing image of a new deck series potentially called Anyone Space with the caption 'A1 2017 and 2019 playing cards study'. This looks like a new deck with the one-way split card back design of their Dot and Cap playing cards. Anyone is calling them the DOT/CAP SPLIT RE-EDITION. This has massive potential for future possibilities with multiple combinations of their previously released deck designs. This design will make for truly cool spreads, fans, and displays.

Cardistry: Cardistry Tips from dealersgrip

We have been following the amazing progress of Tobias Levin and Oliver Sogard, the duo from dealersgrip. When they started doing cardistry, there wasn't much material available. This pushed them to create their own concepts, then led to the search of other cardists who shared the same passion for creating and advancing the art form.

At the same time, the duo felt that the community was very inconsistent. It was in need of a platform which would consistently thrive to inspire and encourage people to bring the artistry back into cardistry. Hence, dealersgrip.com. Thier mission is to educate and inspire cardists by exploring the possibilities with a deck of cards.

Here are some cardistry tips from the duo. More amazing cardistry tutorials and tips on dealersgrip.com.

Green Foil Logo Deck by Dealersgrip

Green Foil Logo Deck by Dealersgrip is a striking tribute to the brand’s identity and philosophy. The iconic dealersgrip logo, an emblem of creativity and intent sits centered on a shimmering green foil back that shifts with light and movement, embodying the dynamic nature of cardistry.

The faces feature minimalist quad pips, maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. Housed in a matte tuck box with precision cut-out windows, border embossing, and silver foil detailing, the packaging mirrors the deck’s refined presentation.

Limited to just 500 copies and available now on Dealersgrip for $24.

Error (Laser Edition) Playing Cards by Dealersgrip

The second new release from Dealersgrip. Error playing cards returns with Laser, a striking new edition that pushes the series beyond its traditional black-and-white aesthetic.

Built around the idea that “a laser is light that agreed on a direction,” the deck features razor-sharp blade imagery rendered in striking blue holographic foil. Under changing light, the seemingly blue finish shifts across the holographic spectrum, creating a dynamic effect across the card backs and tuck box.

The deck introduces a warm grey foundation, replacing the stark monochrome palette of previous Error editions while maintaining its organic minimalist character. The court cards use a single colour matched to their respective suits, adding subtle variation without compromising the clean design.

Printed on soft-feel stock for smooth handling straight out of the box, Error Laser comes housed in a matte grey tuck case with an extended flap and holographic foil detailing.

Error Laser is priced at $24 on Dealersgrip.
