Kickstarter: Check Out The Stunning Corona Playing Cards!

Corona Playing Cards are designed by Khanh and produced by Bomb Magic. This exotic deck is inspired by the pattern motifs on the Dong Son bronze drums and Lac Viet culture. From the circles, triangles, Viet bird and deer, the deck is designed according to the characteristics of the ancient culture in Vietnam with a modern twist and brings a touch sophistication.

The deck is currently seeking funds on Kickstarter with a goal of $12k The decks are currently 58% funded with 19 days to go!

The fully custom deck features an intricate back design made out of four Viet birds flying around the rhombus features detailed characteristics adapted from Lac Viet culture. The borderless court cards depict Vietnamese figures with customized weapons and garments. They are contemporary yet familiar!

The indices and pips are custom as well. Combined with metallic ink on the cards, this gives Corona a luxurious look and feel. The deck is packaged in a stunning tuck case adorned in gold foil highlighting the intricate details of the artwork.

Two colorway is made available during the Kickstarter project- Black and White. Pledge starts at $15and they are printed in Taiwan by Taiwan Playing Cards Company on Vintage Stock and Legendary Finish.

We want to thank Bomb Magic for the prototype and to have an in-depth look at this beautifully innovative and functional deck. There's just so much to like about this deck!

Deck View: Red Bomber Playing cards

Matrix. Limited. Magic.

The Limited Edition Red Bomber Playing cards by Bomb Magic are inspired by the green code effect in the popular movie "The Matrix“. The idea was to print a simple deck which is suitable for daily magic performance. The high-tech style back design cleverly conceals the marking system, which is very well done and not obvious for the spectators. We had a hard time trying to figure out the system.

Like the blue version of the deck,  the face cards are standard with the exception of the Aces and jokers. The custom Aces and jokers include the same matrix-code design element featured throughout the deck. The tuck box sorts a dark blue colorway with silver foiling to give the deck a touch of elegance.

Kickstarter: Hidden King (Luxury Edition) Playing Cards

The Forbidden King Playing Cards: Luxury Edition is a follow-up to Bomb Magic's 2017 deck, with the same name. The artwork is inspired by the Siberian Tiger and features a mirrored card back combine with a hand-illustrated border and an "S" link linking the tigers together.

Currently funding on Kickstarter with less than 3 days remaining, the Hidden Kings are available in four luxury editions- Classic Red, Classic Blue, Rainbow and Copper Foil.

Classic Red and Blue are similar to the original version with the card backs updated with the respective red and blue colorway. From the promo images on the campaign page, the deck features similar artwork across all editions with various color variation and printing techniques.

Inspired by the ancient art of Chinese bronze mirror-making, the Copper Foil Edition is designed to play with the light, giving card flourishes that extra flair. According to the campaign page,

For large area, foil printing is difficult and failure rate is high during production. Most  printers will reject the order, but we’ve done it by our passion.

The Rainbow Edition uilizes a vibrant brightness spectrum to print an impressive 54 colors on the card back, and tuckcase with unique rainbow foiling. It is essentially a unique spectrum foiling, and not laser reflect the rainbow light.

All 4 luxury editions will be feature metallic Red, Blue and Golden inks on the suits and court cards. The decks will be printed by Taiwan Playing Card Co’s soft Luxury Paper Stock with Legendary Finish.

Casino Royale: Refined Edition, the latest deck from Bomb Magic currently funding on Kickstarter has just unlocked the Elite Edition after hitting the stretched goal of $6,400! Kickstarter: Limited Casino Royale (Refined Edition) Playing Cards by Bomb Magic

Casino Royale: Refined Edition is the latest release from Bomb Magic, targeting a wider audience, from cardistry to game nights. The colorful back design is an homage to the classic Casino decks with a modern twist!

It is designed with traditional casino-styles and has a colorful back of fashion multi-colored diamond. It’s inspired by old casino deck and incorporated with some modern design characteristics. All aces and court cards are custom. According to Hanson Bomb,

There are no other decks better than this to present the plastic stock. You might think handling is also important. YES! That’s what we’ve been balancing it. The purpose of this deck/project is to keep it as high quality as possible, but touch more minds of popular people.

For the Kickstarter project time around, the Refined Edition features a thin plastic stock with smooth finish. Thus, it will be waterproof AND tearproof. Printed out of Taiwan by TWPCC, the plastic stock is extremely durable and the thin stock is perfect for springs and faros.
