“Speaks” Autism Awareness Deck is designed for the collector, cardist, and magician. The Kickstarter project is meant to bring awareness to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a neurodevelopmental disorder that is characterized by restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and persistent deficits in social interaction and communication.
By Jordan Whitehead and Dane Valnes, this custom deck design is a tribute to lives who have been affected by Autism. Every deck sold will go to helping give a voice to those who have trouble finding their own.
The card backs feature puzzle pieces in a primary color. The one way back design allows for the deck to have 4 unique designs. This no doubt will look beautiful during different flourishes and fans. The back was designed to pop, and provide different options to the different handlers.
Also, the puzzle pieces represent the symbol that is used in the autism community. It gives all that use the Speaks cards a way to start a conversation and bring awareness to the countless people that don’t have a voice and that live with it every day. The face cards feature special pip for each individual card, custom Aces and custom courts with faces of real people affected by Autism.
