Released this July, ShopBicycleCards.com, online retail site of USPCC, released two brand new decks to their product listing and they are truly inspired by the South.

The first release is called Fleur de Lis. According to Bicycle, the deck is celebrating an iconic design popular in the Mississippi Delta and Gulf regions.” It is available in two color options: Black and Gold, which is an obvious homage to the popular Southern football team, New Orleans Saints, as well as Purple and Yellow, which is also the colors of another Southern football team, Louisiana State University.

The second deck release is called Texas Star. There is no confusion about what this deck is about. It is quite obvious that this deck embodies the spirit of “Texas Forever”. USPCC specifically mentions the Lone Star State when describing the inspiration for this deck. If that is not enough the spirit of this deck is in it’s colors.

Both decks feature air-cushion finish, standard courts, custom Jokers and Ace Of Spades as well as one-way back designs. Despite unfavorable reviews from magicians and cardists, USPCC continues to release one-way back designs — a trend that shows Bicycle producing mainly for the masses as USPCC’s last 5 releases have a one-way back design.

The deck releases mark a stark change in their product offerings as both of the decks do not feature Bicycle branding. This month’s releases are the first decks to be released since April when Bicycle Pandamonium and Bicycle Luchadores playing cards were dropped on the site. These decks are released as everyone in the card industry awaits Jackson Robinson’s Civil War deck that will be available on ShopBicycleCards.com at some point in the near future.
