Italian designer Giovanni Meroni continue to surprise with a brand new playing card series about Betrayals and Dreams. Funded in under 24 hours on Kickstarter, Betrayers feature a vibrant artwork and bold color schemes. Fans of Giovanni will notice that the Betrayers artwork is a departure from his usual style. There are three decks on offer during the Kickstarter campaign, Betrayers Lucis, Tenebra and Invictus. Betrayers Lucis is inspired by the fierce warriors who betray in plain sight, while the Betrayers Tenebra is inspired by the ones who conspire in the darkness. Both of this deck will be printed by the USPCC.
Betrayers Invictus is the Limited Edition deck for the campaign. They are inspired by the traitors who sacrificed everything to realize their dream. Without friends or enemies. The deck comes with metallic ink on face cards and the backs, and they are kept secured on a stunning foiled black tuck box. Printed by Cartamundi.

Where there are crowns, queens, and spades, usually there is also poison, blades, and broken hearts. With that, each suit represents a reason the courts became Betrayers. Diamonds – Materialists, Clubs – Usurpers, Hearts – Devotees and Spades – Egoists.
