SCALA · Architecture Playing Cards is back! This time with brand new buildings from the last five years! Based on the examples gathered in the first edition, the deck aims to complete a more updated collection that keeps up with relevant contemporary architecture.
The new deck is updated with 13 new cards distributed among the four suits of the deck. Together, they create a heterogeneous ‘suit of suits’ by adding some of the most emerging practices in architecture since the previous edition of SCALA until today.
New entries are distributed in a correlative sequence, so in this collection, you can find a new ace, a new ‘2’, a new ‘3’, and so on until the ‘K’ is reached. Minor adjustments have been made to previous drawings, and the back and tuck box has been redesigned as well.
All 54 cards that compose the deck are printed in Elite Finish, a high-quality card stock developed by Legends Playing Cards Co. At the time of writing, SCALA is only 52% funded with only 20 days to go. To help fund this deck, head over to Kickstarter. Pledge starts at €15 (~USD$17).
