The crowdfunding campaign for Butterfly Playing Cards has now earned over $139k (the initial goal was $10.5k). With less than a week to go, Ondrej Psenicka has revealed a new stretch goal: the Black & White Butterfly deck…. with black gilding!
According to Ondrej, the Black & White edition is the origin of the Butterfly Playing Cards Black family. The duo-tone colorway lends to a more prominent, somewhat more distinctive artwork of Stefan Eriksson, particularly the card backs. The four aces also showcase the beautiful theme of the floral back design and the standard US court cards have yellow color substituted for white to compliment the overall aesthetic of the cards.
The black matte tuck box is laced with white foil and both marked AND unmarked versions. While it’s crafted for the magician in mind, the deck will be an excellent addition to your collection. Printed by Cartamundi with the True Linen B9 finish. 5000 decks each.
