Spingod and Inagural Cardistry-Con Champion, 2016 Nguyen Hoang Duy (Duy) has just released his first deck- Di Playing Cards, named after his cardistry group based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Just prior to the release, Duy dropped the launch video and it generated quite a buzz with Duy showcasing some of his trademark one-handed and isolation moves. The movement and fluidity of his flourishes are just mesmerizing!
The deck has been designed by Duy himself and spots a green-black colorway. The backs feature a one-way design with the Di.caridstry logo in the center and a 2-line stripe on the top right corner (and bottom left), giving the deck a little more flair when fanned.
A lot of thought has gone to the design of the face cards. Duy pointed out that the number cards are two-way, including odd numbers and the Ace of Spades. The courts have been redesigned to fit the overall look and feel of the deck.
The deck is housed in a minimalistic white tuck with the same 2-line stripe featured on the front and the back, giving a continuous pattern when you remove the cards from the tuck case.
The deck is printed by the US Playing Card Co on crushed Bicycle stock. Available now from Di.cardistry for $14.
