Jolly Roger Kraken Epic Playing Cards by Black Ink Playing Cards is a fully custom deck with illustrations depicting fictional pirate characters lore. Designed by Jody Eklund, the deck illustrates a pirate’s insatiable superstition and depicts the legendary destruction of a gargantuan sea monster known as the Kraken.
Three editions are available during the Kickstarter campaign– The Parley Edition (standard), Calypso Edition (full foil), and Coxswain Edition (Glided). All decks will be limited to a 1200 print run.
The Parley Edition comes in a blue colorway and features a full foil embossed tuck case. The custom card faces and backs are printed with CMYK ink.
The Calypso Edition is stunning! They come with a full-foil embossed tuck case, both exterior and interior, AND the card faces and backs are printed with full foil!
Finally, the Kraken Coxswain Edition features a full foil tuck case, and card faces and backs are printed with CMYK Inks. The cards have GOLD gilding!
The custom face cards feature daring pirates who once braved storms and dangerous sea creatures to find buried treasure. The Ace of Spades features the Kraken and the card backs come with an eye-catching intricate ornate design that adds a touch of luxury to the decks.
All 3 decks will be printed by the Legends Playing Cards Company on Premium Casino Grade stock with Classic Finish. Pledge starts at $17 on Kickstarter.
Also, a limited collector set is available during the campaign. They come with a unique, numbered, and limited signature case, which contains the three decks, with signed and gilded sleeves, in a box with magnetic closure.
