Joker and the Thief embark in a new direction with an entirely new deck, the Five Ninety-Sevens! The deck is made with the intention for everyday use and for cardists who prefer minimal design language. Practicality was the main intention behind this creation.

This is the Joker and the Thief’s FIRST departure from intricate design but still uniquely JT. The back design is what a Joker and the Thief Cardistry deck should look like – stripped back, refined, bold and enticing. The JT insignia resting in the center of the design provides weight and presence. The borders are distressed providing an extra edge of detail and are consistent with the brand.

The back design is complemented by a stunning, vintage-inspired ace of spades, accompanied by ARRCO style court cards that have been recolored. Keeping with the vintage artwork of the ARRCO court cards, our Joker and Thief card have been illustrated with the same design language, to create a seamless through-line that connects every element of the deck.

The Five Ninety-Seven tuck box utilizes premium letterpress processes to create heavy impressions into the specialized cream paper stock. The interior of the box features a vibrant solid yellow to contrast with the darker exterior.

The perforated seal is the connective tissue between the 597s and the decks that came before it, with all the detail you would expect from a normal JT deck. Printed on Premium Crushed Stock and Finish by the United States Playing Card Company

Joker and the Thief also expand their product line with specific collections surrounding the release of its new decks. This will be continuing into the future on EVERY Joker and the Thief release. The first Collection dropping with the 597s is a luxurious T-Shirt in premium packaging, attention to detail not seen since the Dan and Dave era. The collection also includes a sticker pack with 6 weatherproof stickers.

We expect more from Joker and the Thief coming on Black Friday. They gave Kardify the first word, stating “Fans of JT can look forward to a timely surprise coming on Black Friday, a hotly anticipated release.”
